FN AUTOMATED DOORS

My name is Alan and I set up FN Automated Doors in 2023 after having worked in the Automatic Door industry for over 20 years. It is funny where you end up at times - I actually dreamed of becoming a professional footballer in my youth (didn't we all) but turns out that I wasn’t that good…so I had to focus my attention elsewhere.

I began learning & working on shop fitting schemes for Argos nationwide and expanded my knowledge of not only the installation of these, but also the complete planning of a project. I also began to fit garage doors locally so I could gain additional knowledge in order to not be limited to just the retail sector.

I have since worked for a number of established Automatic Door companies at both corporation level and independently owned businesses until last year.

‘FN Automated Doors’ is the name I choose when deciding to ‘go it alone’ which is based on my 2 young sons, Finn & Niall. We are now a small family run business that covers the Midlands and the South East England specialising in but not limited to, Dormakaba, Record, Gilgen, Geze, Tormax and have been working/worked with many established UK brands - Warner Bros, Go Outdoors, B & M and the NHS at multiple locations.

We also cater for a range of smaller independent businesses and education facilities.

Our accreditation includes ADSA for Automatic Doors, CSCS for work on construction sites, with additional certification in Asbestos Awareness, current DBS, GDPR & Manual Handling.
